                          MONASTERIO DE TARLAC

I recently visited the Monasterio de Tarlac in San Jose, Tarlac. It’s a monastery located on top of Mount Resurrection, and it’s famous for its large statue of Christ and the relic of the Holy Cross. The drive up was scenic with beautiful countryside views, though the winding road was a bit challenging.

The moment we arrived, the massive statue of Christ stood out, welcoming everyone. We first visited the chapel, where the relic of the Holy Cross is kept. It felt very peaceful inside, with people quietly praying and reflecting. Outside, the gardens and benches offered a perfect spot to relax and enjoy the mountain views. The air was fresh and calming.

The view from the top was amazing, with hills and forests stretching as far as I could see. After some time exploring, we had a simple picnic lunch nearby before heading back.

Overall, Monasterio de Tarlac was peaceful and beautiful—a perfect place to reflect and enjoy nature. I’d recommend it to anyone wanting a quiet, spiritual retreat.
